2008 Person of The Year Award – Larry Scofield – Founder President and Managing Director of Bayside Search Group
When the MRINetwork Alan R. Schonberg Person of the Year Award was initiated in 1994, its purpose was to honor individuals who make a significant contribution to our community and who are worthy of “our recognition, respect and gratitude.” Fifteen years later, Larry Scofield joins the ranks of this exemplary group.
After a very successful career in the retail industry where he rose to executive-level positions, Larry, with the support of his wife Nancy, decided the time was right to make a career change. He met with Alan Schonberg and was ready to launch Bayside Search Group in late 1997. Within a few years, Larry and his team had achieved Office of the Year status and continued to build the business to rank among the top fifty
offices. Along the way, Larry was also honored several times as the Billing Manager of the Year.
Several years ago, in an effort to give back to the organization that has given him so much, Larry became a member of the Representative Council. Seven years later, he is well known and trusted as a leader with a great passion for the business.
Larry has also served on the board of directors of the MRI Franchise Association.
